Maha Mandala has been created for the community worship of The Lord who made Love, Sri Krishna, and his top most devotee Sri Radharani. We also honor them in their combined form as Lord Chaitanya also known as Maha Prabhu the 14th century Avatar (sanskrit word meaning to descend).

Maha Mandala also places special focus on our teachers (Gurus) of the past, these teachers bridge us from where we are today, to cultivating pure love for God Head (Bhakti). Like the links in an unbroken chain they share their message and spiritual potency with each new generation.      

Srila Prabhupada brought to the West the philosophy of Krsna consciousness, also known as Sanatana-dharma and bhakti-yoga – the timeless ancient wisdom of spiritual India. Through his special potency he was able to plant the roots of this philosophy in the West when other preachers had failed in Canada, Britan, and Germany.

In November 1977, Srila Prabhupada departed from the vision of the world. In the 1980s and 1990s Westerners met his spiritual successor, most intimate friend and siksa-disciple, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja. Just before his divine departure, Srila Prabhupada had requested Srila Narayana Maharaja to continue his mission. For the period spanning over two decades since Prabhupada’s departure, Srila Narayana Maharaja unwaveringly carrying out this final request. He has been providing insightful guidance and loving shelter to all who come to him, and through the medium of his English books, and his own classes and personal interviews, he is now giving his purifying association and divine realizations to sincere searchers of truth all over the globe.

Before the departure of Srila Narayan Maharaj, he instructed his students and disciples that  Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Vijñāna Bhāratī Gosvāmī Mahārāja has the same loving mood for Krishna as he does. Shrila Bharati Maharaj was a veteran amongst the eleventh generation of descendants in the bhāgavata-paramparā coming from Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and was greatly respected for his unique realizations and vast depth of knowledge. He was especially known for his encyclopaedic knowledge of Gauḍīya Maṭha history and his firm faith in Vaiṣṇava-sevā.
